As it is Halloween, I wonder what you are most looking forward to. Pumpkins to carve and costumes to make? Maybe Trick or Treat goodies to eat and drink. What fun! And all those decorations people dangle from their windows and in their gardens? You know, the ones with the more than life-size black hairy spiders, the very realistic snakes – and rats. Not to mention the skeletons, the mice, the ‘Scream’ masks. Jolly fun for all the family – unless you are scared to death at the very thought of all that spooky stuff. If you can’t bear to look at a snake, run out of the room if someone spots a spider, are terrified of the dark, hate horror stories and films, how happy is your Halloween going to be?
A surprising number of people are terrified of a surprising number of things, ranging from (all of the above) through buttons and pigeons to broccoli. Add to the list heights, flying, dentists, wasps, water, crowds and needles, and we still haven’t covered everything.
Did you know that it is possible to painlessly lose those fears? For most people it’s a quick and easy process. If you are living your life in fear let’s have a chat and see what we can exorcise.
Meanwhile – Happy Halloween!
