For as long as I can remember,
I’ve been trying to help people feel better.
My Dad died when my brother and I were both very small, and I somehow acquired the role of ‘family fixer’. I trod carefully so no-one got upset, I kept the peace and was always polite, always smiling.
I tried very hard to be a good girl who always gets things right. My own needs were never a consideration, and I just ‘got on with it’. Unsurprisingly, my small self got lost early on.
All these years later, my greatest desire is still to help people fix whatever is wrong or painful in their lives. I find huge joy and satisfaction in seeing people change and evolve into the free person they were always meant to be, living the life that was always meant to be theirs.
I spent nearly ten years coaching people who wanted to lose or manage their weight, and I received many amazing testimonials from clients whose lives had changed for the better.
I studied for a Life Coaching Diploma in 2008, and I enjoyed using my new skills with a wide range of people who wanted to discover new ways to approach their life or work. Some ended up making significant changes, while others made small tweaks that resulted in huge differences.
Hungry to learn more, and eager to add to my skills, I applied for the Ali Campbell suite of training courses in hypnotherapy, NLP and life coaching, all based on his Inside Out approach. Having gained my certificates in all three disciplines, I have benefited from a torrent of insights into how I can live my own life happier, freer and kinder to myself than I had ever thought possible.
These days, I live in Leigh-on-Sea, Essex, in the house I grew up in. I have a photographer husband, Keith, two sons and a beautiful daughter-in-law, and we live with our dog, Sadie and Alfie the cat. Life is good.
